WHAT'S NEW
NEW WORKSHOP... We will be doing private Introduction to Bonsai Workshops by appointment. A one on one workshop where we will first go through what to look for in choosing a pre-bonsai. We will then sit down and discuss styling options, from picking the front of the tree, to which branches to use, to creating an apex. We will then wire and style the tree. This will be a great workshop for not only the beginner but also those needing help in any aspect of styling a tree. The workshop will last 2-3 hours, cost will be $50.00 plus the price of the tree. Pots will be available if you choose to pot your tree. Call for an appoinment. 352-625-2681

Tree of the
    Month
Hmmmm, must mean it is wine time.
Tools
Found some old growth Procumbens nana, huge bases, been growing in 7 gallon pots. I bought all he had to get a good price, I will be passing these savings on to you. If you have been wanting a really nice Juniper to add to your collection, then this is it. Great workshop material.
Before
After
This is the time of year we get to go collecting and have a little more time to search out faraway nurseries for something new and exciting. Already have come across some nice Schellings Hollies, Japanese Boxwoods, Azaleas and some Asiatic Jasmine that actually have some trunk to them.
Linda and I have been scouting around every chance we had and have come across some new material for us to work with. Going to name a few, just to get your interest up. Found some Sweet Acacia with yellow flowers, Rabbit’s Foots Acacia with some very unique flowers, Dwarf Mimosa with white powder puff like flowers, Horseflesh Mahogany with small compound leaves that are red as they come out and some Dwarf Sleeping Hibiscus. Guess you will have to come out and see what else we have found. You can tell Linda was in on it, she was going for the flowers.
WHATS NEW... Thanks to all of you, our customers, we are able to grow to better serve your needs, The next time you visit you will notice we have built a pavilion in place of the canopy. Complete with ceiling fans and lights. Our goal is to make your workshop experience much more comfortable.
Brought out some more Cypress, some that were collected two years ago. Also some Dawn Redwoods, some short fat Elms, a couple Oriental Sweet Gums, got your interest up yet? How about something to look forward to? We will be starting this year, bringing out some Twisted Trunk Pomegranates. We have been growing some for over fifteen years now, waiting for their branches to start twisting. It takes five years or more before the trunk even starts twisting. We started air-layering some three years ago, so every year we will be able to bring a few out. I can’t wait to get down to one of the original bases, they are phenomenal.
